WHAT IS THE IRHCTT?

The International Registry on Hand and Composite Tissue Transplantation (IRHCTT) collects detailed information on a voluntary basis from any case of composite tissue allotransplantation, providing a unique opportunity for the teams to know what happens in this new field of transplantation and to share experiences. In addition, this information might be also useful for the new teams wishing to start a composite tissue allotransplantation program.

Currently the IRHCTT includes two sections:

  • uni- or bilateral upper extremity allotransplantations
  • partial or total face allotransplantations

A registration form, an annual update and two score systems (HTSS and DASH score), which allow to evaluate (the) functional recovery, have been created to collect data of upper extremity transplantations.
A registration form and an annual update, which allows to evaluate recipient general conditions and recovery of face functions, have been created to collect data of face transplantations.

Data are presented in aggregate form only. International privacy and data security have been provided to ensure patient data and centre confidentiality.
